James is the owner and lead trainer of Results Training (Bath) Ltd. James has over 5 years experience in fitness, health and coaching. He has worked and currently works with individuals looking to improve their overall health and in team environments where results are more focused on performance.

Travelling the world playing professional sport to better and challenge himself  James has transferred his skills of playing and coaching in different cultures to dealing with a variety of people and their needs in everyday life. James prides himself on being able to connect with every client he meets and works with creating an ideal environment  for achieving results.

Paul Muchall

Paul has always been a keen sportsman, and ever since school he’s played every sport that was on offer, anything from water polo to mixed touch rugby. With his love of sport he was fortunate enough to get involved in cricket and play professionally for 8 years at county level for both Durham and Gloucestershire CCC. During the off seasons he played and coached in Australia, Argentina, Hong Kong, South Africa, and New Zealand.

In 2007 he completed a gym instructors qualification, during that winter season in Australia he became involved in personal training with a company called Positive Lifestyle Training Perth, and started delivering one to one and small group sessions. With this, he discovered a love for healthy living and adapting training sessions to meet peoples needs. He has been adapting his training and coaching style ever since.

After finishing professional cricket in 2013, he developed his knowledge of sport and fitness by completing a Level 3 personal trainers course. Since then, he has been applying his knowledge and skills in group and one to one sessions.

Sarah Jane Ashdown

Sarah has always been a sports enthusiast. Throughout school and University she participated in all team sports including hockey, swimming, tennis and netball. A passionate traveller and adventurer Sarah has also enjoyed water skiing, snow sports and sky diving. Whilst living in Sydney, Australia, she took up running. Faced with a family bereavement, running helped Sarah through her grieving process and she ran her first Marathon! She understands the healing power of exercise and became a personal trainer to help others find strength and courage through health and fitness.

In 2011 Sarah completed her Level 3 personal training course and since has continued to develop her knowledge and skill set working at a variety of different personal training studios and corporate gyms. Sarah is a qualified running leader and combines her love for running with strength and conditioning exercises in the gym. She is passionate about ensuring all fellow runners are doing the same not only to become faster and stronger runners but most importantly to avoid injury.

The team at Results Training fully support her thinking and together are launching the ‘Bath Running Clinic’. Since joining Results Training Sarah has joined James in becoming a qualified Boxercise instructor and will also be taking her final exams in February 2015 to become a qualified Sports Massage Therapist.

Mark Atkinson

Mark is a post graduate Performance Scientist and Coach who has orchestrated meaningful performance-based results for a variety of clients within general population, corporate and elite sport environments.

Previously the Academy Performance Manager at Bath Rugby and before that having lectured and coached at Universities and in the corporate health industry, Mark has already over 10 years of health, exercise and performance science and coaching experience.

While presenting with an extensive background Mark is a laid back, inquisitive and people-oriented professional whose only career aim is to find performance solutions to making individuals, teams and organisations happy and successful. What do you want to achieve?

Geoff Robinson

Geoff Robinson

Geoff is a strength and conditioning coach with over five years experience as a personal trainer. With a BSc (Hons) in strength and conditioning science. His coaching experience includes working with athletes across a range of professional sport (London Scottish FC, AFC Wimbledon and Chelsea FC). Geoff has recently moved to Bath from London where he worked at the prestigious personal training studio NKD Ambition and is currently working as a strength and conditioning intern at Bath rugby.

Kirk Russell

Kirk is a Chartered Physiotherapist with 19 years experience of working in elite sport. He worked as Team Physiotherapist for the England Cricket Team from 2002 until 2011, making him England’s longest serving physiotherapist having been involved in well over 200 matches. Prior to this he worked with the England academy and under 19 England squads as well as eight seasons with Northamptonshire Cricket Club from 1994 – 2001.

Whilst cricket is a passion, Kirk has also worked in a number of other sports at the elite level including at the London Olympics, with Tottenham Hotspur FC and previously with Northampton Saints Rugby.

Kirk is currently still involved at the elite level of sport as Physiotherapist with the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier Cricket League, which he has done for the last three years.

Although Kirk is a well respected physiotherapist with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries, he is also passionate and highly experienced in all areas of physiotherapy. He strongly believes in getting to the root cause of the problem and developing a treatment programme unique to you, focused on creating a long term strategy to improve your quality of life and performance.
